Wow what a great post for all of us trying to keep in great shape. I loved the advice of eating small meals every couple of hours and drinking green tea. I love my coffee but I think that could be an easy switch. Also I think drinking 8 glasses of water a day could be even more important!! Thanks

The main thing is that you get a full slow digesting meal in before you start your day.

Hi Matt.

Of course you are free to air your thoughts. Never hold back. It is true that not all the facts going around about bodybuilding and fitness are 100% true, or in fact 100% right every time. Different things work for different people. The point you mention here about small meals is a highly debated on for sure. The entire human race is always learning. One thing that I will state 'today' since writing this article, is to focus on good nutrition over the actual size of the meals. However, eating regularly throughout the day does have an affect on muscle building results. Especially hardgainers (rephrase: Mostly under eaters)

Just found your website, looks like some decent content. However, I'd challenge you on a couple of your recommendations above, specifically: Eat Breakfast Daily and Don't Miss Meals. There is much scientific evidence to show that most of the commonly-held views about fasting are unfounded and are wrong. Most people indicate that small meals will build metabolism, however this is not correct, in fact the TEF (Thermal Effect of Food) is bigger to bigger meals and isn't a good measure for building metabolism. Check out Brad Pilon's Eat-Stop-Eat for a thorough, scientific-based debunking of many currently-held, incorrect, views about eating and lean mass building. Also see Lyle McDonald, leangains.com, and The Warrior Diet.
