Great post!

I totally agree with sticking to the eating plan 80% of the time. I find that by using this rule I don't want to binge on "forbidden" foods because I know I can have them if I want to when I have a cheat meal. Funnily enough, usually that thought is enough to reduce the craving.

A new study actually found out that eating too much food over a period of just a few weeks can screw up your brain, taking away your ability to control your appetite.

Appetite is the body’s way of ensuring that it has all the nutrition and energy it needs to prosper and thrive. It is an instinctive emotional and mental desire for food. Taken further it can be seen as a desire for wellness and a desire for life.

I have just turned 31 and have been a person with high metabolism and could eat anything up until about a year ago. Then I put on a peski extra tire around my waist. Stress and lack of energy to push through a whole day without feeling down and tired had me start to look for answers that work for me. I found that the obvious idea of eating only "good" foods was hard to do because I have trained myself over the years to want the fatty and sugar filled foods. Recently I also took on yoga.
