Build Explosive Strength Like Serena Williams

March 31, 2010 by

It’s old news that Serena Williams (and her sister) achievements are nothing short of incredible.

‘It’s ok Mrs Williams, we get the hint… you are great!’

But if there is one stand out thing that you will remember about Serena Williams 20 Years from now, it would be their ability to ‘BRING-IT’!

One of the ways they do this (Other than driving fear into into their opponents and scaring the shit out of them) is by serving their opponents with explosive strength. Ever since Serena Williams graced the scene, I always thought that she puts most men to shame in the strength and aggression department. Yet she manages to maintain her femininity. Heck, she could have had a mention in the ‘Sexy Women Bodybuilder‘ article. But she just isn’t a bodybuilder.

Nevertheless. Serena Williams Portrays one of the best examples of explosive strength. The type of explosiveness that you need to incorporate into your workouts.

A lot of people thought I was dissing P90X last week. I wasn’t! I was just highlighting what programs like P90X are missing. But today I am promoting it, because of their focus on muscle confusion aka shock body exercises (explosiveness). And it is the same kind of explosiveness that Serena Williams displays everytime she steps onto the tennis court.

‘But Shaun, she is performing at pro level. How can you possibly compare her to us?’

Yes, she is perfoming at competition level and you may never reach the heights that the Williams sisters do. But it’s all about being inspired. Inspiration is one of the key factors that will help you stick to your workouts.Inspiration gives you that super human boost from your mind to your body. We all have our heroes that we aspire to, but try to steer away from aspiring to non-fictional characters, like I do at times.

(Yes, I’m a big kid and that will probably never change (6))

A reminder to all… THEY ARE MADE UP! They are not real.

However, Serena Williams is 100% REAL, and although some of the things she does may seem super human and out of your reach, she can still be a very good source of inspiration on those days where motivation levels are ZERO.

Before I exit for the day, I’ll leave you with a video for some explosive inspiration.

See you in the comments.

The Most Important ‘BEST’ Bodybuilding Supplement… EVER!

March 29, 2010 by
Filed under Supplements, The Fitness Bug

Hey, I’ve seen that title before on this site. Is Shaun running out of ideas and re-posting the same stuff?

Yes, you have seen that title before,

Here – The Most Important Bodybuilding Supplement… EVER!

And for those of you who didn’t read it, the best bodybuilding supplement… EVER, is water. Read the full post to get the whole scoop.

So the answer to your question is NO! I am not re-posting the same stuff. But today I’m going to tell you the BEST water to drink during your bodybuilding workouts.

Distilled Water Fortified with Minerals

Why Distilled Water Fortified with Minerals?

This is actually water vapour that has been captured and bottled. This is water in it’s purest form also known as distilled water. Those of you who are familiar to detoxicating your bodies will probably already be drinking this water during those periods. The only down side to this water is that it will direct your health towards the land of decline after a few weeks, and just like the detoxification process, it should only be action-ed for short periods of time only.

With distilled water fortified with minerals, you get the same pure water, added with minerals. In turn, this will actually help detoxify your body when you drink it.

Perfect water!

All other forms of water have been poisoned in some way or another and no mater what process the water has been put through to regain purity, pure it will not be. This fact holds true for,

•    Tap water
•    Bottled water
•    Rain water
•    Filtered water

After all is said and done, this is the water that you need to start drinking throughout your bodybuilding life. If you want the best performance and results in your workouts, then you must employ the best. That is the best food, supplements, Shaun Sinclairs 🙂 and fitness equipment.

Advanced Bodybuilding Shoulder Workout

Filed under Bugs Workout Routines, The Fitness Bug

After all the fun and intensity this week, I quit the talking and began walking again, working on one of my strongest body parts.

Shoulders

This is another routine that I have listed in my training journal and draft and which proves quite affective. Feel free to slip this routine into your own journal.

Note: Don’t forget to work your triceps equally the same. If not, you may just end up with huge shoulders and tiny arms (It’s happened to me before). If you have long limbs like I do then throw in some Isolation exercises in once or twice a week to give your triceps a boost in size.

Standing Palms In Dumbbell Presses

  • Sets: 3
  • Reps: 8-12 (Increase the weight after each set)
  • Rest: 3 minute rest between each set

Smith Machine Behind The Neck Presses

  • Sets: 3
  • Reps: 8-12 (Increase the weight after each set)
  • Rest: 3 minute rest between each set

Reverse Flyes

  • Sets: 3
  • Reps: 8-12 (Increase the weight after each set)

Why You Need To Be A No B.S Bodybuilder

March 25, 2010 by

This week I have been talking about the importance of training insane and having fun throughout your life in bodybuilding. But today is all about favoring the importance of working out with ridiculous intensity and shocking your muscles. Today I’m going to tell you how and why you should be a no B.S bodybuilder.

What is a no B.S Bodybuilder?

Well… There will be times when you face one of these situations… or something similar.

1) There will always be a day or week where you skip your workouts. You go out one weekend, party, get hung over and by Monday you are still in recovery mode. You finish work and then think to yourself… F**K this! No gym TODAY! Then the ‘skip-a-day’ trend begins and continues, then before you know it you start missing weeks of training.

2) You have a long day at work at, you step outside, and the winter chill just pushes you in the direction of home and bed. You skip one day, make a promise that you will make it up the next day. You wake up and the weather man delivers the same news. Cold chills. You skip another day. Before you know it, you become out of sync with your workouts.

3) Your girl friend dumps you after 5 years of being together. You find out she’s 3 months pregnant, with another mans child and that it has been going on for over a year. You will feel pretty sh*t at this point… and this will happen to you at some point in your life. Everyone gets their heart broken at least once. All of a sudden you find your self locked up in your room, stuffing your face with food and weeping away. All those goals you previously set…. now down the toilet.

All of the above scenarios will not play out as described if you are a no B.S bodybuilder. When you begin to slack, you will be highly self aware and make sure you get back on track.

When your girlfriend dumps you after 5 years. You won’t curl up in the corner and cry, you will have no remorse and take no B.S from your human emotions. You will plough through and let those goals you set allow you to overcome the heart ache.

When your friends are trying to persuade you to go out and get trashed, on that one special week (which just happens to be the tipping point of supreme growth after weeks of hard slog at the gym) you will shrug them off , decline their offers and plough through.

But Shaun, this all sounds all boring. Almost like a loners life. Is Shaun a loner?

No I am not a loner!

Like I mentioned in yesterdays post, it really is all about having fun for the long term (A point which a lot of workout programs out there miss) but there really is no substitute for hard work. And whether it’s P90X or some form of shock body exercise technique you picked up from here, you will have to set your goals, plan your map and make sacrifices where need be. And at times that maybe lonely.

But remember this….

What ever goal you set or body you set out o achieve, it will involve other people.

  • Gym partners
  • New associates
  • Shaun Sinclair’s (Hey, that’s me :))
  • And others

But in the end it all comes down to YOU and what YOU do!

No one else knows what’s going on in your brain other than YOU. So when things get tough like in the above scenarios, you will only have yourself to rely on. You pick yourself up out of your own bullshit, put on your no B.S hat and stand tall.

That is the definition of a no B.S Bodybuilder!

It is only then you will start to achieve what you set out to do. Now have a cup of some no B.S juice FTW.

See you in the comments.

The P90X ‘After’ Solution

March 24, 2010 by

For those of you who are not aware of what P90X is, it is an exercise program that will shock your body and promise meaningful results, all within the space of 90 days… as long as you stick to it. From what I have learnt thus far, those I know who have stuck it out for the 90 days have praised the program and recommended it without question. This is a good thing, because the program preaches to the unconverted the importance of shocking the body into change, something which I do weekly in some way or another, more evidently so in shock body exercises.

But here is a question that I repeat back to myself on a regular basis.

‘Ok, I shock my body; get great results, and then what? Keep doing the whole thing over and over and over again?’

I say… Naaaaah!

You see, personally, P90X is nothing new to individuals like myself. Although there are some great methods and routines in there (We don’t know it all), It preaches what I have known from the start of my muscle building endeavors.

The only way to train is to train INSANE!

And if your goal is to look good for the long haul (That’s most of us) then training insane really can get boring. This is especially the case if you have a low metabolism, because weight loss is just the first part of the goal. Keeping the weight off is a whole new ball game.

The P90X After Solution

So we can agree that P90X does a good job of what it claims it can do, although some may or may not warm to Tony Horton’s training antics. But P90X fails where I think this post can begin to succeed.

TO MAKE WORKING OUT FUN FOR THE LONG TERM

As you may have read in my bio, I have built muscle on and off over the years and every time I get back into the swing of things, I don’t find it too much of a challenge to start packing on the pounds of muscle. If I’ve been completely out of circulation then I know it will take me just a few months to start seeing ‘HUGE’ improvements (Another case of ‘I succeeded in ‘X’ amount of time). But then I would get to that special point and ask myself,

‘Can I really keep up with this level of intensity? Even more so… do I want to?

I mean, I like working out and all, and the passion I have for this game probably will never die, even when I begin to reach the 50+ decline years. But too much of any one thing is bad for you, and I personally don’t like to be entirely consumed by any one thing for too long. I like to ‘LIVE’

So the real P90X solution is how do we make this game fun while enduring this grueling pain?

Well, before I start to unveil some of these methods and get the party started, we have to all agree that hard work is a must. There really is no escaping that. So whatever weightlifting routines or exercises you have been following on or off of Stay-Fit Bug, make sure you stick to them.

Map and Goal

But what we will begin to do is ease the fun into our daily activities… Killing two birds with one stone at times, and getting away from the very thing that is killing our motivation levels…

Your Average Gym

Which consists of….

  • Eye-watering body odors
  • Sweaty people frowning in concentration and rarely talking to each other
  • Mundane workout routines, blisters, callisters and clunky heavy machinery
  • Bad music assaulting your ear drums.

That does not sound like a fun place to me. (However, my local gym is nothing like that :). But I bet yours is.)

We all have different interests and will take up varying activities between us all. But below is a list of things you can do to start breaking up those workout days and make your time in working out ‘FUN’!

On Your Workout Days

Change Your Gym… Join A Jungle Gym

A jungle gym is basically a gym designed for kids (Usually within the actual gym). There you will see kids jumping around, throwing balls, chasing each other and swinging, all without realizing they are actually working out. This will be a reminder to you that working out is all about being ‘active’ and seeing the kids exercise every time you go to the gym will be highly enlightened and remind you what really is important. TO HAVE FUN!

In fact, if you look at the way the world is designed in regards to pushing people how to grow up, it’s actually working backwards and brainwashing the masses. Is it a society that teaches us to be more complicated? Maybe. Either way, enter the jungle gym and follow suit like these kids, and have so much fun that you forget you are even there to exercise. Hail to hidden health.

Embrace The Great Outdoors

This is an golden oldie, but it’s worthy of a mention in today’s fitness world. This is because most people have become consumed by the digital age we now live in and these activities are being taken up less and less. But there really is nothing like the airy ambience that the outdoors give when taking up any of the following activities

  • Hiking
  • Swimming
  • Rollerblading
  • Mountain Biking
  • Canoeing
  • Biking
  • Skiing
  • Waterskiing
  • Rafting
  • Walking
  • Climbing
  • Jogging
  • Backpacking
  • Walking the dog

The feeling you get at the end of these sessions is priceless. You will feel worked out yes. But there is always this magical element of fun when you are out and on your feet. Kind of like an adventure.

Bodyweight Exercises On Vacation

Talking of adventures, travel in itself is one big adventure every time you venture out. When I first used to travel out, my thought’s used to be,

‘Oh no, how will I maintain, what if there isn’t a gym near by’

That has now changed. I now view travel as an opportunity to explore and discover new ways to workout out. This element of exploration and discovery is what makes working out fun. You can push the intensity without having that feeling of repetitive boredom. Besides, you’ll have that special travel bug on your brain, so boredom would be far from an issue.

P.S That ebook right there will guide you in the right direction >>>

Protein Supplement Cocktail Contests

Taking supplements can sometime seem like a chore within itself, and may sometimes feel like you are on some kind of medication. But if you want real results or live a very busy lifestyle, then taking some kind of supplement is probably going to be mandatory. Whey Protein is one of the most popular, and rightfully so. But what you can do is spice things up and have some contents with your buddies.

‘Who Can Make The Best Cocktail’

It might not provide any real value to your body, but it sure will make things fun and will no doubt create some interesting memories or even classic youtube.com moments.

To kick start your ideas: 10 Great Protein Shake Recipes For Your Weightlifting Workouts

On Your Days Off

Embrace The Great Outdoors

‘Heeey, you’ve mentioned this already’

I sure did, but when you embrace the great outdoors, with any of the activities listed above you will be killing two birds with one stone either way you look at it. If you take up the activities for fun, you’ll get a good moderate to high intensity cardio workout. If you plan any of the above activities for your cardio workouts, you can have fun with it. Win, win situation.

Play Rockband and Guitar Hero

This is still, hands down one of the most fun ways to have fun and stay fit at the same time. Some say that the music game genre is dying out and has been milked to death. But I don’t agree. I think it’s just maturing into the next phase, what ever that will be. Besides, these games will be timeless as they contain classic music from some of the best music released in the past 50 years.

Anyhow, whether you have or have not jumped onto the music game bandwagon, you will be happy to know that ‘Rocking out’ using fake instruments is not only fun, but also succeeds at being a great workout without having to go to the gym. Playing the guitar will keep you active on your feet, while playing the drums will provide a great upper body workout. Playing both instruments will act as a great compound (and functional) exercise.

Nintendo Wii – Wii Fit

We all know how popular the Wii is. The Wii Fit is a game that will actually keep you fit. But it is still a game, and we all play games to have fun. It seems as if the world is agreeing with me, understanding that we need to make fitness a lot more fun.

How will this all help?

Adding these activities to your daily schedules will help you stay motivated and engaged in fitness, making it feel less like a chore all without even realizing it. Again…

Hail to hidden health.

This is just a start and I’ll probably throw new ideas in the comments section below over time. Nevertheless, working out incorporating these methods into your routines will make things a lot more interesting and FUN.

See you in the comments.

I Succeeded In Just ‘X’ Months! The Before And After Scam | BodyBuilding

March 23, 2010 by

‘I built monster sized muscle in just 3 months!’

‘I lost ‘X’ number of pounds in just 4 weeks!’

These are phrases that you hear often, in almost every industry. Especially in the fitness and bodybuilding industry. You’ll often hear some state quotes such as,

I succeeded in ‘this’ many months, ‘that’ many months.. blah, blah, blah…

Yea, it would be cool to get great results quickly, and sometimes that can happen. But the real success lies in how to keep building on that success. The phrase ‘I Succeeded In Just ‘X’ Months!’ is usually just a show off or marketing phrase to lure people in. Heck, I may even use it in certain situations. But if I ever do, you can be damn sure that I’ll be providing long term value at the end of the tunnel.

So in reality, those statements that you hear people quote are often false positives. Don’t fall for them. Always make sure you are that devil that is looking ever so closely at the detail. And just know that there is NO magical way to get real, meaningful fitness or bodybuilding results without some hard work and gut wreching graft.

Let me show you what I mean. Here is an example of EXACTLY the thing I am talking about.

Natalie Cassidy

This is Natralie Cassidy, an actor in the UK who shot to fame on the popular TV soap Eastenders, and the picture above is how she used to look. Then, she left the show, disappeared for a while, and re-appeared on the scene, slimmer, sexier and magically even prettier than before. All by using her secret formula of a weight loss program.

And within no time at all, her program sold like hot cakes

$$$ Chi-Chingggggg $$$

GREAT!

But Then…

She gained it all back! (Ohh Nooo)

I was actually disappointed when I saw that she had let her self go and put all that weight back on again. Maybe I should have created Stay-Fit Bug a few years earlier. That would have helped her ‘KEEP’ the body that she built. Either way, her fans must have been disappointed some what. Their new weight loss idol had fallen from the helm. Who are they to look up to now?

This scenario right here is why I have banished Natalie Cassidy into the,

‘I Succeeded In Just ‘X’ Months! The Before And After Scam’

There are other examples out there. This is just one of them.

Shaun’s Point Is?

My point is this…

If you are going to brag, boast and market yourself using the phrase ‘ I succeeded In Just ‘X’ Months’, then make sure you provide some long term value to the audience that you have converted. These are the people that were most likely in the exact same situation as you were, yet you managed to achieve where they continued to fail. Because of that they will always look up to you, and anything that comes out of your mouth will be taken at face value and executed without question.  If you are going to be a role model, then be one. The moment your audience see you slip up, you automatically incorparate the ‘He/She’s fake’ tag, and they might just move on.

Or

They might understand that you are human, and that very same audience could possibly be the cause of raising you up from the pits of demise to a once again glorious rise… to the top!

Success and Money can be a great thing. But as always, it comes with increased responsibility for your actions.

The Bodybuilding Culprits

This is one of the most prolific scam products that circulates the internet using a similar mantra from ‘I Succeeded in just ‘X’ Months’ in the Bodybuilding world.

The Acai Berry Supplement

Not the acai berry itself. That is a very nutritional fruit full of antioxidants. What I’m talking about here is the actual supplements some of these companies are putting on on the market.

The Oprah Winfrey Endorsed Acai Berry Supplement

We all know that when Oprah speaks and endorses something, it becomes an instant impulse purchase for those who listen to what she has to say. There are companies all around the internet that claim Oprah has endorsed their product, when in fact, all she done was give the actual acai berry the thumbs up after a recommendation from Dr. Oz !

These guys are all fakes and there are just too many to name. But the fact is, none of their supplements work. They are all ineffective.

Shame on them!

I will probably do what they do at times and post quotes like ‘I Succeeded In Just ‘X’ Months!’ But I will always follow it up by providing long term value and raising my game when my decline starts to kick in. Because everything that goes up has only one way to go after that point… Back down!

See you in the comments.

8 Great Famous Bodybuilding Bodies From 8 of Your Favorite Sports (Unisex)

March 22, 2010 by

I’ve talked enough about how to build strength (for now) and how to prepare for building ‘great’ strength, and hopefully you are on the path to becoming really strong. That was the first and most important part on how you can build real muscle mass. The kind of muscle mass that has backbone to it. The kind of muscle that will scare the socks off people who even dare to lay eyes on you, because something about your muscles seems different. And they are… different! This is the muscle mass that has strength behind it. And at this point you truly can be called the king of the gym. You might even find someone that is bigger than you in size, but guess who will probably win in a pull up contest? YOU!!

Besides, it never really is about how big you can get.. it’s all about building the best looking body. That is to build decent size muscles, but with superior definition.

That is why today, I am going to reveal some of the best bodies from 8 of the worlds favorite sports. We already know that all of us have completely different body types (Read this post) and I believe that each and everyone of you will have a similar body type to one of these famous 8. Body types that you can compare to your own. Maybe even to aspire to. You could even aspire to look like me 🙂 . However,  I’m not famous and not everyone knows who I am, so for now here are the famous 8.

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)

George St. Pierre

Back in 2006, when UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) started to become popular, it was Kimbo Slice (MMA Fighter) that got me interested in this sport, even though it has been around for years. I think it was all of those brutal beat downs that I would see him give to indivuals on break.com or youtube.com. Now, I could have put Kimbo Slice here… if this was about brute fighting ability, but it is not, it’s about the best looking bodies in the sport, and for many of you, George St Pierres chisled frame is what you’ll probably strive for. This body type will probably attract the majority of ladies out there, but more importantly, YOU can be happy sporting this frame with confidence. This will be the frame that you will obtain if you are following the strength training route rather than building huge muscle mass.

Heavy Weight Boxing

David Haye

This is the guy that ‘nearly’ took down the 7ft giant Nikolay Valuev. Nevertheless, he still won the fight.

There will be many of you who workout with the goal of building a physique just like this. If so you probably started off as a hard gainer and have been sick and tired of being the skinny guy. Well, I have some good news for you Mr skinny man. Building a physique like this is highly attainalbe.

If this is your goal, then you will be one of many who fit the description of bullet point no. 3 in the stayfitbug.com logo. If so, then take your self over to shock body exercises. That will be the starting point on your quest to build monster sized muscle like Mr Haye.

David Beckham (The Model)

Most people around the world will know Mr. Becks as a footballer. However, he also has  a body good enough to take modelling shots that make girls around the world tremble to their knees. One great thing about being a footballer, is that Becks gets to build powerful footballer legs (It’s all in the thighs). That is something I need a bit more of in fact, since my ball kicking days stopped in the school playground.

Anyhow, this is the perfect body for those of you who just want to have a ‘fit’ body and aren’t necessarily focused or interested in building supreme strength or muscle mass, as Becks body is quite naturally proportioned.

Wrestling

John Cena/ The Rock (Professional Wrestlers)

Ok, I know I’m cheating here by picking two individuals, but I’m a fan of both of these body types in the WWE. The Rock just has that perfect ‘big man’ size, but is still able to wear the stuff that most guys can buy in high street shops. While John Cena has built supreme muscle mass on what I think was an almost skinny guy frame (Not too many before/ after pictures around).

Some may argue that these guys get to the size that they are because they are juiced up. That could be. But I also know that these guys workout out like animals in the gym, at an intensity you probably wouldn’t think imaginable.

But if you are after the look that these guys have achieved, then you are probably a natural mesomorph body type (Build muscle very easily). And out of the whole WWE cast, these are the bodies I’ve been most impressed with.

Athletics

Asafa Powell (100 metre sprint runner)

Mr Powell has been around for quite a while in the world of athletics, and when you take a look at the starting line of every race, you just know you will see some overly defined, chisled bodies. Out of all the guys that ‘matter’ in this contest for golden glory, I’d say that Asafa Powell has the most well rounded physiqe. He has great bulk for a sprinter from head to toe and is well proportioned.

If your goal is to build an ‘Asafa Powell’ body, then I know that building raw strength is one the key things that you wish to achieve, as these athletes are all about explosive energy. Develop explosive energy and you will build a body just like this.

Bodybuilding

Denis Sergovskiy

Denis  Sergovskiy is an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder. He isn’t really that famous, but he did rise up the ranks in 2008 when he received his Pro Card. The reason I have chosen him as one of the best bodies, is because he fits the description of a super hero body… oh, so well.

  • Tiny waist
  • Very defined and symmetrical muscles
  • And the muscle mass to go with it

It’s not often that you find bodybuilders with as many strong attritubes that this guy has. Most just get a few things right. If you are after a body like this, then I would guess you are preaparing to enter some bodybuilding competitions. If so, then this is a body you can use as your goal and map.

The Women

Now, unless you have been living under a rock for the past decade, you would have noticed the rise in the number of women taking up bodybuilding. But it’s not exactly the kind that you may think. (Huge muscly women who could pass for men on most occasions).

Now, I don’t know of many ‘famous’ women who have taken up bodybuilding, but I do know of some around the web and in the media. Here are 3 bodies that I consider ‘good’ women bodybuilder bodies.

Fitlover

Ariel Khadr – IFBB Pro

Bodyrock.tv (Susana)

For all of the ladies reading this article, this was dedicated to you. These are the bodies that I know you will probably like to have. If I am right in thinking that, then get up now and go and build your body. You can and will achieve it. If these ladies can do it, you have no reason not to have the same or better. If you want a kick start then be sure to dig through the archives here on the site. There are plenty of articles that will put you on the right track.

All of the bodies chosen here are all hand picked by yours truly,. Some of you may agree with them, some of you may not. If so feel free to air out your thoughts in the comments section below. Either way, all of you will find at least one body type to aspire to out of all those sporting bodies.

See you in the comments.

Don’t Be A Spoon Fed Bodybuilder

March 19, 2010 by

I’m sure you’ve all heard of the saying

‘ To be fed with a silver spoon in your mouth’

Which basically means to be raised as a child without having struggled like the majority of kids do in this world.

So we can split the world into two types of individuals. That is ‘The spoon fed’ and ‘The hungry’

It’s pretty easy to tell the difference between the spoon fed and the hungry. From the way one speaks, acts and thinks in certain situations.

Example:

Weight Loss

Scenario

A person becomes extremely overweight after becoming filthy rich. They begin to have wild parties and start living a crazy lifestyle. And they simply go over board with all the lovely food the world has to offer. And now they look like this

Marshmallow man

They then decide it’s time to fix the situation for themselves and their families sake.

The Spoon Fed

A spoon fed person will probably start off by doing the ‘right’ thing

  1. Get a gym membership
  2. Set up a goal and workout routine
  3. Lose weight over time

However, there will be a crital stage where things will become tough. At this stage a spoon fed person would give up and probably go the easy route and have liposuction.

The Hungry

Place a hungry person in the exact same scenario,

(Got rich, went a bit crazy, time to fix up)

And I would place a nice bet that they will stick it out for the long haul and lose that weight gradually. Besides, once that milestone achievement has been made they can show off, gloat and even find success from selling their story and teaching others how to do the same thing.

The hungry person would have probably adopted that hunger mentality from a young age too . And over time it just became a fixed asset of their persona through the journey to adulthood.

It’s Better To Give Than Receive

Receiving Too Much Makes You Weak! It takes away your hunger.

The hunger that is vital to have in order to plough through the ups and downs on your quest to build a better body.

Ok, I understand the concept, but what do you mean by ‘spoon fed bodybuilder’?

Well If you take that concept and put it it in the context of a bodybuilder, a spoon fed bodybuilder is one that would naturally lack that killer drive required to take their body to the next level. The drive that most hungry bodybuilders would have.

It is that vital stage in the cycle of bodybuilding where you either stop and quit. Or plough through, when you are

– In the gym late at night, by yourself, struggling. While your friends are out having fun.

Or

– When you need to hit the gym for workout no.3 of the week. Yet you are exhausted after a longs day at work

This is where most spoon fed bodybuilders will stop.

Why?

Because unlike the hungry bodybuilder, they probably never have tasted that natural raw hunger before, and like I mentioned earlier, the hungry types would have had it installed in their being from their youth.

Ok, I’m like… Soooo spoilt. I don’t even know the meaning of the word hunger. Can I become like those hungry folks?

It is possible, but like I mentioned earlier, it is usually stapled into the mind set from an early age. However, circumstance can change that. That alone can drive you towards the hunger mind set that the hungry folks have developed over the years. Because you either eat or die, it’s as simple as that.

So to answer your question. No, you probably won’t be able to turn off the way your spoon fed brain works… Unless you are thrown into a situation by circumstance.

To Conclude

It’s really simple. If you are a spoon fed bodybuilder, you probably won’t follow through with much of the hard work required to build real strength and mass… the stayfitbug.com way. But if you are, success will be knocking on your door very soon if it hasn’t done already.

Which one are you?

Radiator Rippled Abs – Workout #1

March 16, 2010 by
Filed under Bugs Workout Routines, The Fitness Bug

I’ve been getting my abs back into shape again recently, and for those who have read the Unique Bodyweight Exercises Ebook. You will know that is one of my key focus points. It was once completely defined and is by no means in bad shape. But when people tell you that your body has changed… it probably has.

In order to hit all areas of a certain muscle group, you need to provide that muscle group with ‘supreme’ variety. That is what you can do with the workout routine below. These exercise variations aren’t entirely common and they may or may not be new to you. Nevertheless, performing them in the order described will without a doubt, rip your core to shreds and assist with the transformation to radiator abs.

Alternate Heel Touchers

Sets: 3
Reps: 25
Rest: 3 minutes rest between each set

Long Arm Crunches

Sets: 3
Reps: 25
Rest: 3 minutes rest between each set

Russian Twists (One variation to use with a medicine ball)

Sets: 3
Reps: 25
Rest: 3 minutes rest between each set
